What is an RSS Feed?

RSS, or Real Simple Syndication, (simply defined) is a means of transmitting and updating news in an automated way. With feeds you can authorize a website to send you their updates on a regular basis, directly to your email’s inbox, your favorite news reader and even your cell phone. To subscribe to our Angler's Blog you add our RSS feed (see below).

What is the advantage of RSS over signing up to receive e-news?

• You don't have to disclose your email address - you choose to have the news come directly to your RSS reader, feed reader, or aggregator which can be web-based, desktop-based, or mobile device-based (cell phone, i-Pad, computer, etc.).
• You don't have to unsubscribe if you change your mind and no longer wish to receive our content. You simply remove the feed from your reader.
• You receive the information as soon as it is posted -  not having to wait for an email to be sent.
