Steve Gossage reports from the field: "I guided in Pueblo yesterday. We stayed lower (around the nature center). It
was good in the morning.....but got tough later in the day. I would recommend going up higher towards the dam if you head to the Pueblo tailwaters. I think the water temps are a couple degrees cooler up there and that difference is all it takes sometimes to change a good day into a great day!
Best flies in the morning were a size 20 mercury RS2, size 18 rainbow warrior (pearl), size 14 pink HB Pheasant tail.
If you tie your own I would strongly suggest using an extra heavy hook.....we had four fish straighten our hooks yesterday!"
Don't miss this fun day with special fly fishing presentations, doorbuster deals, casting demonstrations, drawings and prizes and more!
