PINT NIGHT

PINT NIGHT

WIN A FREE SCOTT FLY ROD

(Details are below...)

There is never enough time to join together friends, beer, and fishing stories. We really enjoy sharing a beer and talking and listening about fishing, I mean I REALLY enjoy it!!!

Saturday, December 1st, is  the Covey's first Pint Night Charity Event!   In a win-win situation, the Angler Covey's Pint Night Charity Events will feature locally-brewed beer, be sponsored by a fly fishing manufacturer near and dear to Angler's Covey, and benefit non-profits that protect land, promote recreation, and perform community outreach.

The proceeds from this first Pint Night Charity Event will benefit the Cheyenne Mountain Chapter of Trout Unlimited!  Sponsors are Pikes Peak Brewing Company, official beer sponsor of CMCTU, and Scott Fly Rods.

Angler's Covey will give the first 100 attendees a free pint glass that will be filled with a tasty Pikes Peak Brewing Company craft beer. Extra fill-ups will be $5 each. CMCTU will receive all of the proceeds from beer sales as well as 10% of proceeds from all other sales in the store from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. (Note: We will also have Rootbeer and Diet Dr. Pepper.)

Win a Free Scott Fly Rod. Starting at 6:30pm we will start an activity we are calling "Report your Water". This will be an opportunity for you to learn about great fishing locations around our state. Participants will submit their score card and a drawing will be held for a free Scott A4 6-weight fly rod.

FRANK SMETHURST, star of the cult movies "Running Down the Man", "Eastern Rises", and host of the Trout Unlimited sponsored "On The Rise" television show will be in the shop starting at 3pm. Frank will share his talent on his vise with some great conversations about his favorite and hottest fly patterns. Frank will also have some "swag" for the Pint Night event and will be partaking in the festivities.

ALL TO RAISE MONEY FOR

TROUT in the COMMUNITY

Trout in the Classroom has been a very successful program for CMCTU. Now in its third year with Trout in the Classroom, CMCTU has realized the tremendous importance of this program. But they have also identified a means by which to expand the impact of trout rearing far beyond the classroom.

Trout in the Community is a program that utilizes a public site and community resources to educate adults and children about the life of trout and the significance of conservation and restoration of their environment.

Some say that it takes a village to raise a child. We have established the framework for a community to raise trout. This community program utilizes the resources of CMCTU, Catamount Institute (an environmental education organization with community wide school programs), and Angler's Covey.

To be located in the lobby of Angler's Covey, Trout in the Community will be accessible and engage hundreds of children, teachers and the entire Colorado Springs community.

Please consider helping to support this new, one of a kind and first of its kind program in the state of Colorado!

Your purchases at Angler Covey's TU Day and Pint Night (both Saturday, December 1st) will directly impact and fund our Trout in the Community program!
