Below is the name of the winner of the
"Free Fly Rod of Your Choice" drawing. Check out other
news on you way down...
Leaves are falling, BUMMER...
This
year's fishing season has proven to be one of the best we've had in a
long time. The wet weather we got early in the season really helped our
rivers rebound after several years of drought. The insects also enjoyed
the wet weather and the trout enjoyed them! Colorado enjoys over 6000
miles of river access and it makes you wonder why anglers fight over a
small percentage of that river access. Stop and take a moment to
calculate how many river miles you fished this season. If you only
fished Elevenmile Canyon,
then you fished one tenth of one percent of the resources available to
you in Colorado. So, before the
snow starts flying, explore a little more of Colorado! Don't hesitate to come and talk to
either me or one of our great staff to help you find a location worth
discovering.
Our current conditions statewide are great. Brown Trout are in the
middle of their spawning season and egg patterns are a good choice. We
also still have Tricos, Blue Wing Olives, and several Midge patterns
working well throughout the shorter days. The days are numbered before
the snow starts flying so get out and fish and enjoy a good adventure.

CHRISTMAS ISLAND 2010
We need just a few more anglers to make
this trip a go. Please give me a call this week if you are
interested. We need to make a decision soon.
I have had the opportunity to fish
several saltwater locations, but everything I am looking for is
at Christmas Island.
This will be my 5th
trip to the island and the reasons I keep going back are:
- The largest Atoll in the world
- Endless
Bonefishing opportunities
- Golden,
Blue and Giant Trevally
- Security.
I have never seen a single gun on the island.
- Friendly
People, not the standard “yell-at-you” guides
- The
consistent weather. Never a prolonged rainstorm or a missed
day of fishing.
- The
Adventure.
