Brush Hollow Reservoir

Brush Hollow Reservoir is located south of Colorado Springs and west of Penrose, off of Highway 115. It is a typical warm water fishery with species including: Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, Channel Catfish, Yellow Perch, Walleye, and Rainbow trout in the spring and fall. Brush Hollow has high mercury levels, so harvesting fish is not recommended. Also, watch your step walking around the reservoir because it is known to be home to rattle snakes. This is, however, an excellent stillwater fishery within reasonable driving distance from Colorado Springs.

Directions - 40.1 miles - 59 minutes

1. From Angler's Covey head east to I-25 south
2. Travel south on I-25 and exit on S. Academy Blvd head west
3. Turn left at CO-115 S and travel to Penrose, go 27.2 miles
4. Turn right at 3rd St/ Co Rd 123, go .3 miles
5. Take the second right onto E St and continue on Co Rd 123, go 2.1 miles
6. Turn left at Co Rd 129, go 1.0 miles
7. Turn left at Co Rd F 42, go .5 miles
