Nichols Reservoir is a stocked fishery located below Rampart Reservoir. It is a half hour hike from the trailhead by the dam to the reservoir. Nichols has rainbow trout, brown trout, cutthroat trout and lake trout. Flies of choice are various streamer patterns and dry flies such as the Elk Hair Caddis and Parachute Adams.
