Fourmile Creek - Shelf Road

Fourmile Creek along Shelf Road is somewhat limiting before it hits the Arkansas River in Canon City. Most of the property along this lower section is privately owned, but there are a few sections of state and BLM land that is accessible, each about a mile of access. Because of the lower elevation this area can be a great place to go in early spring or late fall.

Directions - 50.4 miles - 1 Hour 26 Minutes

1. From Angler's Covey head west on US 24 W/Cimarron St, go 23.5 miles
2. Turn left at CO-67 S, go 18.4 miles to the town of Cripple Creek
3. Slight right at Bennett Ave, go .3 miles
4. Take the 3rd left onto CO-67 S, go .3 miles
5. Turn right at Xenia St / Co Rd 88, go 7.8 miles down the canyon till you hit Fourmile Creek.
