Experience a high altitude outdoor fly fishing experience this summer on the south slope of Pikes Peak!  South Slope Recreation Area will open for its fourth season this year and they maintain limited use which makes the fishing usually pretty awesome. The trip includes plenty of hiking so good physical shape is required - the terrain can be challenging. Fishing is along the shoreline. Permits are required per vehicle due to limited parking and controlled access. Therefore, this PPWA trip is limited, first come first serve.

Blue River Trip

Join us for a getaway fishing one of Colorado's high country rivers: the Blue. We will stay together in the family cabin of one of our leaders on Sunday and Monday nights. The Blue River is a favrite of many of our staff and guides. We will be sharing the cabin, doing meals together, and there is a small cleaning fee. SIgn up if interested and we'll get more details out to you ASAP!

Summer Small Stream Trip

Saturday, August 4th

Alma State Wildlife Area

If you're looking for an adventure away from the crowds, small streams are the way to go! The fish may be smaller but they are often more plentiful and eager to take your dry fly. This part of the Middle Fork of the South Platte River boasts tons of brook trout that call the meandering water home. Plus, a bonus - there is a restroom and pcinic table for our lunch!

This is a great trip for anglers of all experience  levels, so join us for this fun adventure.

We will carpool and caravan from ANgler's Covey up to Alma SWA, fish and then return home in the afternoon. The only cost is helping your driver out with gas and bringing your own lunch!

Gunnison River Trip

September 4-6, 2018 FULL! You're welcome to reserve your own lodging and join us!

We're planning a fun get together in Almont the first week of September, right after Labor Day. We should have some Kokanees in the river system at this time of year, so that would be extra fun! We're staying at 3 Rivers Lodge, staying in one large cabin which is brand new ($40-50 per night/per person) - amenities include multiple bathrooms, laundry, and a hot tub! We will plan joint meals together to have in our spacious kitchen or out on the deck. You can book guided float or walk and wade trips on the Gunnison or Taylor River, plus choose your own walk and wade and small stream options. Willowfly Anglers is offering us 10% off any guided trip.

We need to know how many are interested before we reserve the lodging so let us know ASAP and we will get back to you to confirm.

Fall Small Stream Trip

Saturday, September 15th

Join us for a fall small stream trip on Beaver Creek! Enjoy the changing colors and the fiesty trout. The drive alone, if we've timed it right, makes the trip worthwhile with all of the gorgeous golden aspens against the crystal blue sky. Pack a lunch and plan on a fun day!

Wildcat Canyon Day

Saturday, October 6th

7:00 am-3:00 pm in Wildcat Canyon

Join us for a fun adventure on the South Platte in Wildcat Canyon!

We will meet up at the cabin of one of our leaders in Sportsman’s Paradise and then head into the canyon. This is a beautiful section of the South Platte which is challenging for the general public to access. We’ll fish until noon, head back to the cabin for lunch, then fish some more!
