About Jon Kleis

Jon Kleis is a born-and-raised Colorado native. He's a family man who has been a passionate angler since his father first introduced him to fishing at the ripe old age of four years old.  Jon has been fly fishing and tying his own flies for the better part of 25 years.  When people ask Jon where his favorite place to fish is or what his favorite fish to catch is, his answer is usually something like, "Where there is water and whatever fish is on the end of my line."Jon's home river is the South Platte where he has harassed fish his entire life.  His guilty pleasure is chasing carp on the fly. His other passions include photography / videography writing, and gardening.
