Kenny Romero

Kenny Romero, a Colorado native learned to fly fish in the high country lakes of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. Kenny fishes Colorado rivers throughout the winter, but when ice off occurs, you’re sure to find him fishing on his pontoon boat or from shore, most likely guiding at Spinney Mountain Reservoir.

Kenny has developed a deep knowledge on how to catch some of South Parks biggest and meanest Rainbows, Browns, Cutthroats and Pike. He shares this knowledge not only as a guide, but also as one of our stillwater class instructors -  both in the clsssroom and shoreside.

When not fishing, Kenny is either managing renewable energy programs or running on one of Colorado Springs many running trails.

Here are some client reviews for Kenny:

"Recently my son, Jerod, and I booked a full day guided fishing trip on Spinney Mountain Reservoir with Kenny Romero as our guide. The guide and the trip far exceeded our expectations. Kenny was not only intimately knowledgeable about the lake and its fish but he worked exceedingly hard to make it so that we didn't have to work so hard. Kenny put us on to some very big fish. This was a wonderful experience that I hope to repeat again sometime soon."

"Kenny Romero is a tremendous guide. Patient..great instructor. Went on a challenging day where bite was low. Showed me many techniques to try when hatch of off and fish are picky."

"Just wanted to thank you for our trip with Ken Romero yesterday to Spinney. He took good care of us.  He was very attentive and when we had a rats nest he had another pole ready...we were always in the water thanks to him. We caught 20-25 nice fish, most in the 18 to 20 inch! While others were not catching a thing, due to his great knowledge, we were pulling them in. Could have not asked for a better guide."
"Kenny was so much fun to fish with. His desire to put you on fish was intense. His passion and knowledge for fishing is admired by many and I now understand why. His patience and intensity and generosity were more than I expected. His love for fishing makes me love it even more. No one else around us was catching, but we managed a good 6 fish for only a half a day in some very tough conditions. If you want to have fun and want a passionate guide with fish knowledge....Better Hire Kenny."
